Egypt coach Shawky Gharib and former skipper Ahmed Hassan, who is now in the national team's backroom staff, will attend Sunday's draw of the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Cairo.
The Pharaohs will be hoping to be drawn in an easy group as they seek to qualify for next year's Nations Cup finals in Morocco, having astonishingly missed out on the previous two editions.
The winners and runners-up of the seven groups, plus the best third-placed side, will reach the biennial tournament.
Egypt are the record winners of the Nations Cup with seven titles under their belt, including three straight triumphs in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
