Egypt and Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah will reportedly undergo a medical in London ahead of his anticipated loan switch to Serie A side Fiorentina.

Sky Sports revealed on Thursday that Chelsea have included the 22-year old winger as part of a deal to sign Ecuador winger Juan Cuadrado.

Salah's move will be until the rest of the season and Chelsea will be paying his wage during the loan, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Sky Sports Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio said on Sunday that the 22-year old winger was supposed to undergo the medical in Italy, but he couldn't travel on time.

Salah will be examined by Fiorentina's doctor in London in a bid to speed up the procedures before the closure of the winter transfer window on Monday night.

If he passed the medical, Salah will also sign the contract with Fiorentina in London before travelling to Italy within days, according to Di Marzio.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella described Mohamed Salah as a "very good player" on Friday ahead of his imminent move to the Italian side.

Salah has only made eight appearances in all competitions this season, with Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho confining him to the bench.

He has played 18 matches with Chelsea since joining from Basel in January 2014, scoring twice and creating two goals.
