After scoring his first goal with Fiorentina and creating the second during the 3-1 win over Sassuolo in the 23rd matchday of the Italy Serie A, Egypt winger Mohamed Salah has been extolled by the team's manager Vincenzo Montella.
The 22-year-old attacker joined Serie A side Fiorentina on loan from English Premier League giants Chelsea during the winter transfer window until the end on the ongoing season after failing to book a regular place in the Blues' squad this season under the helm of coach Jose Mourinho.
"Salah can play well as a support striker, maybe even better than in his usual wide role, as long as he has the chance to move along the line." Montella told the post-game press conference.
"I had asked the team to not make it easy for me to choose the line-up and that’s what they have done," the Fiorentina coach said.
“They are all important for me and I will try to ensure they are all involved this season. This was a very mature performance against tough opponents who like to play in your half."
Fiorentina are fourth in Italy Serie A teams' table with 38 points after 23 games in the league this season. They are scheduled to face Tottenham in the Europa League on Thursday.
