Egypt winger Mohamed Salah has expressed his delight after scoring the winner for Fiorentina in Sunday’s 1-0 victory against Inter Milan, hailing his teammates for the victory.

Salah continued his dazzling displays with Fiorentina, bringing his Serie A tally to three goals in four games and giving the Viola their first victory at Giuseppe Meazza in almost 15 years.

“Important victory today with a great performance from everyone. Thanks to God,” Salah said via his Twitter account after the match.

Egypt ace Salah, who joined Fiorentina last month, came off the bench three minutes before the break, replacing Senegalese forward Khouma Babacar who suffered a hamstring problem.

Fiorentina’s last win at Giuseppe Meazza was registered in May 2000.

Salah joined Fiorentina on loan from English Premier League leaders Chelsea in the winter transfer window until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent. He left Stamford Bridge after failing to book a regular place in the Blues' squad under coach Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old scored his first goal for Fiorentina and created the second during the 3-1 win over Sassuolo, before adding his second Serie A goal in the 1-1 draw with Torino last week.

Fiorentina lie fifth in the Serie A table with 42 points, 15 behind leaders Juventus.
