Hull City's Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady believes that his coach Steve Bruce can save the Tigers form relegation this season.

Hull faces a critical situation in the English Premier League after failing to secure a single win in the last six matches.

They currently lie at 17th place in the league table with 28 points, 48 behind leaders Chelsea.

"The manager never gets down,” Elmohamady was quoted as saying by the Yorkshire Post newspaper ahead of Saturday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

“He is always confident and that belief gives confidence to us all.

“Steve Bruce is a very experienced manager. He has been in this situation before so he knows how to deal with what is happening now.

“For the last two weeks (since Hull last played at Southampton), it has been all positive. We have been talking about our final six games. They are like cup games and he has said we need to get out of this position as soon as we can.

“He said we don’t deserve to be in this position, so we need to get the results as soon as possible. He makes everyone confident and happy.

Elmohamady, 27, is one of the Premier League's most consistent performers this term. He has featured in all of Hull's 32 league matches so far and was substituted only once.

The Egyptian international first appeared in the English Premier League's 2011 season coming from Egypt's outfit ENPPI.

He managed to save a regular place in Hull City's squad this season since joining them on a permanent basis from Sunderland in 2013.

The player scored two league goals for the Tigers this season.
