Fiorentina have reportedly reached an agreement with Premier League champions Chelsea to extend their loan deal for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah.
According to a report by Italian website calcioweb on Saturday, the Viola officials have agreed to extend Salah's loan for another year, but the player has taken a few days off to decide on his future.
"The player's choice will be decisive," the report added.
The 22-year-old, who joined Fiorentina on loan from Chelsea in the winter transfer window, has been maintaining outstanding form with the Italian side, scoring nine goals in 25 appearances in all competitions.
He has quickly become a fan favourite in Florence, with Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella saying he was likely to remain at the club beyond the end of his current loan deal, which expires in the summer.
On Friday, another report in Italian media claimed that Fiorentina have been informed by Chelsea that they will have to pay around 20 million euros if they wish to secure a permanent transfer for loanee Salah.
Fiorentina, who were recently eliminated from the Europa League semis, lie fifth in the Italian league table with 61 points, 25 behind leaders and champions Juventus.
They will take on Chievo Verona in the last day of Italy's Serie A on Sunday.
