English Premier League Champions Chelsea celebrated the birthday of their Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, who turned 23-years-old on Monday.

Salah, who was born on 15 June 1992, has represented the Egyptian national team at an early age, participating in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2012 Summer Olympics before becoming the Egyptian senior national team hero.

The birthday boy joined Chelsea in January 2014 after making a huge impact with Swiss side Basel, whom he helped lead to a domestic title in 2013, before winning the Switzerland player of the year award in the same year.

"Happy birthday to Mohamed Salah," Chelsea wrote on their official Facebook page on Monday.

The speedy and gifted forward failed to book a regular place in the Chelsea squad before the British side loaned him to Italy's Fiorentina last winter.

In Italy, Salah made an immediate impact scoring six league goals, helping his new team finish fourth in the Serie A table.

Fiorentina also celebrated Salah's birthday on their official Facebook page saying, "Best wishes and happy birthday Mohamed Salah".

Recent reports suggested that Fiorentina might be able to retain Salah next season, but there has been no official confirmation from the club.

However, the Pharaohs winger might be tempted to return to the Premier League in Britain especially since Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella, the man who put all his faith in Salah, quit his post recently.

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in luring Salah to boost their chances of finishing among the top four teams in the English Premier League next season.
