Saudi heavyweights Ahli Jeddah announced that they have completed the signing of Egyptian winger Mohamed Abdel-Shafi on a three-year deal on Sunday.

The 29-year-old, who has been one of Zamalek's most consistent performers since joining in 2008, spent the last season on loan at Ahli.

He quickly established himself as a key player at the club and was acclaimed by Saudi media for a string of impressive displays.

Zamalek accepted a lucrative $2.8 million offer from the Saudi club to sign Abdel-Shafi on a permanent basis.
