The official Ajax website unveiled manager Martin Jol’s squad, indicating as well that Mido has been left out due to "personal circumstances" without giving any further details.

The 27-year old player has lately made a big impact for the Dutch giants having finally broken through into the starting XI, scored his team’s only goal in their 1-1 draw against NEC Nijmegen last Saturday.

However, Jol will welcome back Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez who is serving a seven-match ban in the Eredivisie, the Dutch league, but is available for European matches.

Ajax are ranked third in Group G with four points and hope to maintain their place to secure a spot in the Europa League.
