Saudi Al Hilal have rubbished the recent claims that they slid an offer across the table to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan in the summer transfer window.
The Pharaohs star has revealed on his official website that he has received offers from both Al Hilal and an Emirates team, which the Saudi giants denied.
“Zidan’s claims are not true. We had not been in negotiations with the player or his representatives,” the Saudi champions said in a statement in their official website on Saturday.
“The Egyptian striker is not even in our radar for the coming season,” added the statement.
The 29-year-old hitman, who has been linked recently with a move for Egypt’s Ahly, is close to leave the Bundesliga champions as he is searching for a regular place in another team in the next season.
The former Mainz and Hamburger striker joined Dortmund in 2008 after signing a four-year contract and still has a one year on his spell with the BVB.
