Egypt and Al-Merreikh goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary
Zamalek caretaker president Galal Ibrahim has ruled out reports linking the club with a move for Egypt international keeper Essam El-Hadary.
The team's goalkeepers’ coach Emad Al-Mandouh revealed on Saturday that they are willing to sign another shot stopper this summer, but El-Hadary is not on table.
“We are working on signing a goalkeeper alongside Abdel-Wahed El-Sayed and Mahmoud Abdel-Rahim “Gennish”, but El-Hadary is not an option” Al-Mandouh announced.
El-Hadary joined Sudanese side El-Merreikh last January on a three-year contract after a six-month spell at Zamalek.
The 38-year old keeper has already announced that he could leave El-Merreikh this summer, claiming he received an official offer to join English second-division club Leicester City next season.
“I have several offers but Leicester City’s is the most serious one,‘’ the veteran guardian announced on his official website.
