Egypt goalkeeper Essam El Hadary announced that he will guard Sudanese Merreikh's net for the last time this coming Saturday during the Alamal Atbara match.
“I still want to move to Maqassa, although the negotiations have stopped,” former Ahly and Zamalek keeper told Ahram Online, adding “There are four Egyptian teams chasing me,”
The 38-year-old keeper seemed certain that what Maqassa offers will meet the Sudanese demands to release him.
“I am sure that we will reach an agreement and get back to negotiations soon,” he confirmed.
Despite his signing a three-year contract with El-Merreikh last January, Hadary announced that he will leave this summer, revealing that several other clubs are interested in his services.
The four-time African champion finally got the green light after being involved in a series of clashes with El-Merreikh management.
