A few hours after completing his move to Arsenal, Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny expressed on Thursday his delight to be an Arsenal player, saying it was an "indescribable feeling" to join the Gunners.
“Arsenal is one of the world’s greatest teams, and I am very keen to participate positively with my new team, God willing, and to give my best for the team and for myself,” he said.
The 23-year-old heaped praise on his new coach Arsene Wenger, saying it is an honour to be trained under his management.
“Mr Wenger is a highly respected manager and one of the world’s best managers,” he said.
The international midfielder promised the Gunners' fans that he will do his best to make a positive contribution to the club in north London.
"I would like to tell [the fans] that, although you have not seen much of me, I promise I will contribute positively to the team. I am hoping that we win the Premier League and cup this season, and the Champions League as well."
