After his superb performance with Roma during the 5-0 win over Palermo, scoring two goals, one of them awesome, Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has expressed his satisfaction with the Serie A side.

The Egypt winger continued his recent fine form in Italy’s Serie A after scoring two goals, including one from an impossible angle, to help AS Roma thrash Palermo 5-0 on Sunday.

"I'm pleased to have scored today, but the most important thing was that we won," Salah told AS Roma official website on Monday.

"After the first half, there were a few complaints about the chances we missed, but luckily we won and continued our climb up the table."

Salah notched his second goal against Palermo in superb fashion. He somewhat mishandled a long ball from Radja Nainggolan inside the area, but he regained possession after the ball struck the keeper, sending a simple shot home from an acute angle.

"When I got the ball from Radja I wanted to pass it to Edin Dzeko, but my touch was poor and the goalkeeper had narrowed the angle. The only chance I had was to try and shoot. I did that and it went well," Salah said.

The 23-year-old Salah, who spent a month on the sidelines due to injury late last year, has scored nine Serie A goals and one UEFA Champions League goal so far this season.

"It was difficult coming back after injury, it was the first time that's happened to me," the Egyptian forward revealed.

"We're going through a good run of form, not just me but the whole team," Salah added.

Salah joined Roma from English champions Chelsea last summer after spending the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he produced superb displays.
