Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Hassan 'Trezeguet' is close to finalising a loan move to Excelsior Mouscron from Anderlecht in the Belgian league.
Egyptian reports said the 21-year-old, who is nicknamed after former France striker David Trezeguet, snubbed current Belgian league leaders Sporting Charleroi to join Mouscron after the latter had tabled a better offer.
Neither Anderlecht nor Mouscron have confirmed the deal yet but Trezeguet has retweeted the news on his verified Twitter account.
The Egyptian international initially joined Anderlecht on a season-long loan from Egyptian giants Ahly in the summer of 2015 and the deal was made permanent last May, although the player has struggled for form in his first season in Europe.
Trezeguet made seven league appearances, scoring once, and played one game in the Europa League last season after struggling with an injury early in the campaign.
He has only made three substitute appearances so far this term, two in the Champions League qualifying rounds and one in the Belgian league.
