Italy's Serie A giants AS Roma were paired with French side Lyon for the Europa League round of 16 in a draw held on Friday in Nyon, Switzerland.

Egypt winger Mohamed Salah helped Roma oust Spanish La Liga side Villarreal in a 4-1 win on aggregate in the round of 32.

Roma will visit Lyon for the first leg on 9 March before hosting their foes seven days later.

English Premier League giants Manchester United had an easy draw as they will face Rostov of Russia, while Schalke will go head-to-head with Borussia Moenchengladbach in an all-German affair.
