The players’ status committee of the Sudanese Football Association fixed the 17 November as a date to release their final decision on Merriekh’s complaint against Egypt goal keeper Essam El-Hadary who refuses to join the team trainings.

The Sudanese side lodged a complaint with the FA against El-Hadary claiming the shot-stopper had been absent from training since October.

“The Sudanese FA had called El-Hadary to investigate the complaint of his team against him on 20 October but the player didn’t attend” read a statement on El-Hadary’s official website.

“Then they delayed the investigations to 3 November but he also had been absent” the statement added.

The 38-year old goalie lodged a complaint with FIFA against Merreikh claiming he had not received his salary for ten months and so he refuses to fulfill his contract and wants to terminate it.

The Pharaohs goalkeeper has endured constant problems since leaving Egyptian champions Ahly in an acrimonious manner in 2008 before also having disputes with Egyptian clubs Ismaily and Zamalek.

The three-time African keeper of the year has been instrumental in Egypt's African Cup of Nations treble in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
