Egyptian winger Mostafa Fathi opened his scoring account with his new club Al-Taawoun on Thursday when he scored the first goal of his side in their 4-1 win over Al-Fath in the Saudi League opener.
The skilled winger netted a rebounded ball from the Al-Fath goalkeeper to open the scoring for his side in the 20th minute of the game.
Last month, Saudi outfit Al-Taawoun officially signed the Zamalek winger on loan for one season with a reported fee of $1.4 million.
The two clubs agreed on an option to make the deal permanent at a later date for $3.6 million.
On Thursday, Pharaohs coach Hector Cuper named Fathi in his 15 foreign-based players list for Egypt's double header against Uganda in the World Cup qualifiers.
