Liverpool's skipper Jordan Henderson heaped praise on his teammate Mohamed Salah, saying the Egyptian winger is showing no signs of slowing down after his perfect start with the Reds.

Salah made a blistering start to his Liverpool career following his move from Italian side Roma in the summer, netting 14 goals in his first 18 games across all competitions.

He scored twice in his side's 3-0 over Southampton in a Premier League game on Saturday to top the EPL scorers' charts with 9 goals.

"I just want him to keep going and to be fair he hasn't took his foot off the gas," Henderson told Liverpoolfc.com on Sunday.

"He's kept working hard in training, scoring goals, working hard in games - it's not just his goals, it's his workrate as well, which helps us as a team.

"He's been brilliant for all the season so far but he's got to keep it going, along with other players."
