Egypt's Elneny praises Aubameyang's arrival, announces Ozil stay

Egypt midfielder Mohamed Elneny has praised the signing of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund, announces the contract extension of German World Cup winner Mesut Ozil.

"We know that Aubameyang is a great player and we know his value, he is a great addition alongside Mkhitaryan," Elneny told a television programme late on Wednesday.

Arsenal have bolstered their attacking line-up by signing striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

"I didn't meet Aubameyang until now but I am happy for his arrival, I hope he can emerge with the team quickly to help the team to achieve our target," Elneny added.

Meanwhile, German World Cup winner Mesut Ozil gave Arsenal a big boost on Wednesday by finally agreeing upon a new contract which will make him the highest paid player in the club's history, according to the BBC.

"I spoke with Ozil and he told me that he extended his contract with the team," Elneny said.

"Ozil is an important player inside and outside the playground as he always gives a positive energy to the players," the Egyptian midfielder said.
