Manchester City’s Algerian forward Riyad Mahrez has praised the performance of Egypt and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, denying reports of a rift between the Premier League stars.
"There is no war between me and Salah," Mahrez announced during an interview with the channel of the Algerian Football Federation.
"I don't know anything about the claims of there is a rift between me and Salah.”
"Salah is a brilliant player and I like him very much."
"There's no need for any conflict via social media boards, I have no problems with Salah," Mahrez said.
The pair are both competing for the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles this season.
Mahrez won the best player of the year title in the Premier League in 2016 with Leicester City before joining Manchester City earlier this season, while Salah won the same trophy in 2018 with Liverpool.
