Egyptian winger Amr Warda opened his account with AE Larissa to help them to a 3-2 victory over Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek league on Saturday.
With the score tied at 2-2, Warda struck what proved to be the winner in the 74th minute on only his third league appearance with Larissa.
He also provided the assist for Marko Nunic to score the second in the 33rd minute.
Warda joined Larissa on a season-long loan from PAOK in the close season.
The 26-year-old was a member of the Egyptian national team which played at the World Cup last year and in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
He was excluded from Egypt's camp at the Nations Cup at home in July for disciplinary reasons, after coming under fire over accusations of inappropriate behaviour on social media.
He was pardoned by the football association, reportedly after pressure from his teammates, and made a public apology, but hosts Egypt were eliminated from the last-16 stage after a 1-0 loss to South Africa.
