Ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Qatar’s Al-Arabi in the AFC Champions League, Egyptian midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou confirms he feels comfortable with Saudi giants Ittihad Jeddah.

“I am enjoying a good period of my career with Ittihad Jeddah. I adapted quickly and my teammates helped me to prove my worth quickly,” Abd-Rabou was quoted as saying by Saudi daily newspaper Al-Jazirah on Tuesday.

Abd-Rabou, who was named the best player in Egypt’s triumphant 2008 African Nations Cup campaign, joined Ittihad Jeddah in January on a six-month loan deal from Egyptian side Ismaily.

The Pharaohs star stirred controversy last week when he reacted angrily after being substituted in the second-half of Ittihad’s 1-0 win over Al-Qadisiyah, but later apologised for his tantrum.

After creating a goal for Ittihad Jeddah in their 1-0 league victory over Al-Faisaly on Friday, Abd-Rabou hopes to repeat the achievement tonight.

“I hope we will today, especially as the team is well qualified to get a positive result,” concluded the 27-year-old player.
