Egyptian midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou underwent an intensive program of rehabilitation in order to be fit to play with his Saudi side in Tuesday's AFC champions league clash against Bani Yas.
''Abd-Rabou's participation against Hogr in the Saudi league on Friday is not certain, but he still has a chance to play against Bani Yas in the AFC champions league,'' Ittihad Jeddah's doctor told MENA on Thursday.
The 29-year-old midfielder suffered a hamstring strain, picked up during a league game against Ahly Jeddah.
Abd-Rabou, who was named as the best player in Egypt’s 2008 triumphant African Nations Cup campaign, joined Ittihad Jeddah in January on a six-month loan deal from Egyptian side Ismaily.
