Egypt striker Ahmed 'Kouka'
Olympiacos' Egyptian striker Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan vowed on Tuesday to come back stronger after recovering from a COVID-19 infection, six weeks after contracting the highly-contagious virus.
Kouka tested positive following Egypt's 3-1 win over Togo in an African Nations Cup qualifier on 15 November and he has been out of action since.
He missed nine games for his club, including three Champions League group-stage clashes.
Kouka posted a video on his Twitter account that showed him resuming training.
"COVID-19 complications prevented me from training normally in the past period," Koka wrote.
"It was a very difficult period in my life but I am used to challenge all difficulties and I will come back stronger than before."
Kouka made a superb start to the season with Olympiacos, netting five goals and providing two assists in 10 matches.
Olympiacos are leading the league table with 32 points, three ahead of second-placed Aris.
