Olympiacos' Egyptian striker Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan scored his first goal after recovering from a coronavirus infection on Sunday to give his side a 1-0 win over PAS Giannina in the Greek league.

The 27-year-old came off the bench in the 66th minute to score the winner with a fine header in stoppage time.

Kouka was out of action for nearly two months after testing positive for COVID-19 following Egypt's 3-1 win over Togo in an African Nations Cup qualifier on 15 November.

He was introduced as a late substitute against Panetolikos on 9 January, playing just one minute, before playing 19 minutes against PAOK four days later.

Kouka made a superb start to the season with Olympiacos, netting six goals and providing two assists in 13 matches.

Olympiacos are leading the league table with 45 points, 12 ahead of second-placed AEK Athens.
