Galatasaray's on-loan Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed expressed his great delight for joining the Turkish giants, saying he feels the same love in Galatasaray that he enjoyed at his former team Zamalek.

The 23-year old Mohamed recently joined Galatasaray on a season-and-a-half loan contract from Zamalek, with the Turkish club paying $2 million for his services with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the year.

"I am happy with my new family and I would like to thank all who contributed in the deal, whether Galatasaray president, coach Fatih Terim and other officials," Mohamed said in a press conference upon unveiling him by the club with other winter arrivals on Tuesday.

"I didn't feel any difference, but I feel that I am at my second home. I would like to thank the club fans for their support for me and the club. I felt the same love that I found at Zamalek and that is the most thing that encouraged me.

"Last season I refused an offer from Fenerbahce and I chose to join Galatasaray this season," the Egypt international added.

Mohamed quickly adapted with the Turkish side; netting his second goal in almost a week to guide the team to a precious 1-0 win over Fenerbahce that moved them top of the Turkish league on Saturday.

The red-hot Egypt frontman scored what proved to be the winner nine minutes after the restart following a superb effort to settle the Istanbul derby in Galatasaray's favour.

Galatasaray moved level on 48 points with Fenerbahce on top, but the former lead by goal difference.

The Egyptian International Mohamed opened his account in a 3-0 league win over Istanbul Basaksehir last Tuesday after converting a second-half penalty.
