Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed is confirmed to miss Galatasaray's preparations for the new season after sustaining a sprain in his left knee, the Turkish club announced late on Sunday.
The 23-year-old striker, sustained the injury during Galatasaray's 2-1 win over FC Dinamo București in a friendly game within the two sides preparations for the new season.
"Medical scans have showed that Mostafa Mohamed suffers from a sprain in his left knee and swelling in his ankle after a knock he sustained during the friendly game against Dinamo București," Galatasaray said in a statement.
Mostafa Mohamed left the pitch only 9 minutes from the start after knocking the playground with his leg that caused the injury.
The Egyptian striker has taken Turkish football by storm since joining from Cairo giants Zamalek last February on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal with an option to be permanent.
