Wolfsburg's Egyptian winger Omar Marmoush signed a one-season loan deal with league rivals Stuttgart, the Bundesliga club announced early on Monday.

"Loan to Stuttgart: Omar Marmoush will join @VfB_int on loan for the season. Best of luck Omar," reads a short statement on Wolfsburg's official Twitter account without disclosing further details.

The 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Bundesliga 2 side St Pauli, made two appearances out of three with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga this season.

“Omar Marmoush can be used anywhere across the forward line and is a valuable addition to our squad with the skills and qualities that he has. We managed to reach an agreement on the loan conditions very quickly and amicably with VfL Wolfsburg, and are delighted to welcome Omar to VfB," Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat was quoted as saying by the club's official website on Monday.

Marmoush joined the Wolfsburg II team from Egypt’s Wadi Degla in 2017 before making his first appearance with the first team in May 2020, when his side lost 4-1 to Bayer Leverkusen.

In June 2020, Wolfsburg announced that Marmoush had signed a new deal that would keep him at the club until the summer of 2023.

During his loan spell at St Pauli last season, Marmoush scored eight goals in 22 appearances.

Wolfsburg won all their three matches so far this season, while Stuttgart made just one win and lost the other two games.
