Egypt s striker Mostafa Mohamed
The 23-year-old rising star made a brilliant follow up for the ball inside the area to make use of the sluggishness of Konyaspor defence, giving the Turkish giants an early lead only four minutes from the start.
Mohamed, who now has three goals in the Super Lig, was substituted three minutes before the final whistle as Galatsaray's coach decided to resort to defence to secure the three points.
The Egyptian international had returned to scoring ways in the 8th matchday of the league when he found the net twice during a 3-2 victory over Rizespor two weeks ago, ending a 13-game scoring drought.
Mohamed, who is at the Turkish giants on loan from Cairo club Zamalek until the end of the season, can now breathe a sigh of relief after reports suggested that he was surplus to requirements at Galatasaray, with coach Fatih Terim publicly crticising him for a dip in form on more than one occasion.
Galatasaray, who now lie 4th in the Super Lig table with 17 points from five victories, two draws, and two losses, have an option to turn Mohamed's loan into a permanent deal if they activate a $4 million option by December.
