Egypt came from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Angola in Luanda and reach the World Cup qualifying playoff with one match to spare in Group F on Friday.

The 29-year-old opened the score for Egypt after meeting a brilliant assist from Liverpool's winger Mohamed Salah to help Egypt recover from the stunning 2-0 lead to Angola in the 5th round of the qualifiers.

Salah also provided another assist for right-back Akram Tawfik 14 minutes into the second half to finish the game 2-2 draw between the two sides.

"Goals with Egypt national team always have its memories and a special taste," Elneny wrote on his twitter account on Saturday.

"I thank God for the qualify and I thank my teammates for their performance during the game," he said. "We are ready for the next round," the Arsenal star added.

The Pharaohs, who are on top of their group with 11 points, gained an unassailable four point lead over second-placed Gabon, who defeated Libya (six points) 1-0 earlier in the day.
