Juergen Klopp said Mohamed Salah's goal record is "insane" as the Egyptian forward nears 150 goals with Liverpool, a landmark that he can reach when the team host Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Salah has scored 149 goals since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in the summer of 2017.

"I am only seven years here. The club is so much older with so many great players. This team is one of the better ones and Mo has played a big part in that," Klopp told a news conference on Friday.

"His number is insane. You say 150, only recently we spoke about 100!"

Salah, who set a handful of records with Liverpool, is the Premier League's top scorer with 16 goals so far this season.

He also scored eight goals in the European Champions League, including the second in a 2-0 away victory over Inter Milan in the first leg of the competition's round of 16 on Wednesday.
