Egyptian winger Mahmoud “Trezeguet” Hassan has scored for the third consecutive game for Basaksehir, but his team threw away twice their lead against Besiktas 2-2 on Monday.

The 27-year-old winger opened the scoring in the 35th minute after intercepting a poorly cleared ball by Besiktas’ defence that put him alone in front of goal.

Guvren Yalcin brought the score level six minutes later, but Nigerian striker Stefano Okaka Chuka restored Basaksehir’s lead just seconds before the break.

However, Kenan Karaman had the final word this evening as he made it 2-2 in the 54th minute.

Trezeguet was substituted in the 85th minute, taking a yellow card in the process.

Istanbul Basaksehir remain third with 47 points after 28 games, 20 behind runaway leaders Trabzonspor.

The Pharaohs winger is enjoying a scoring mood as he scored his fourth goal in as many appearances since joining Basaksehir in January on loan coming from Premier League side Aston Villa.

Trezeguet seems to be bouncing back to his prime after recovering from a lengthy absence due to an ACL injury.
