Egyptian striker Ahmed ‘Kouka’ Hassan scored an early goal to set Konyaspor on their way to a 4-1 victory over a struggling Gaziantep FK in the Turkish league on Sunday.

The towering frontman cemented the lead for his team when he found the nets two minutes before the break to end the first half with a 2-0 lead for Konyaspor, as winger Cekici snatched the first goal in the 32nd minute.

Hadziahmetovic then scored the third goal in the 52nd minute before Demir scored the only goal for Gaziantep FK in the 87th minute. Konyaspor’s winger Michalak then tied it up in a neat bow with a fourth goal during stoppage time.

Kouka — who is on loan from Greek side Olympiacos — took his tally to nine goals in 33 appearances in all competitions so far this season, including six in the Turkish league.

He was, however, left out of Egypt’s squad for the African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifying playoffs last month.

Konyaspor lie third on the league’s table with 61 points — a massive 12 points behind runaway leaders Trabzonspor.
