The 24-year-old headed to France on Tuesday as he is set to undergo a medical on Wednesday.

"I will join Nantes on a one-season loan deal," Mohamed told reporters in Turkey on Tuesday.

"I will miss Galatasaray and my teammates. I had some great moments here and I hope to return Galatasaray one day."

Mohamed initially joined Galatasaray from Cairo giants Zamalek a one-and-a-half-season loan deal in January 2021, with an option to make it permanent for $4 million.

Last December, the club informed Zamalek that they would take up the option to sign the Egyptian international on a permanent basis.

Mohamed scored 17 goals in 59 appearances in all competitions with Galatasaray.
