Egypt striker Mostafa Mohamed joins French side Nantes on loan

Galatasaray Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed completed his move to Ligue 1 side Nantes on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent, the French side announced on Thursday

"Nantes and Galatasaray reached an agreement concerning Mostafa Mohamed who will join the club on a season-long deal with an option to make the deal permenant. Welcome Mostafa" The French side tweeted on their official account on Thursday. 

The 24-year-old initially joined Galatasaray from Cairo giants Zamalek on a one-and-a-half-season loan deal in January 2021, with an option to make it permanent for $4 million.

Last December, the club informed Zamalek that they would take up the option to sign the Egyptian international on a permanent basis.

Mohamed scored 17 goals in 59 appearances in all competitions with Galatasaray.

Nantes who finished ninth in the last season has secured a place in the upcoming UEFA Europa League after wining the French Cup.
