Friday 5 August 

Mahmoud Trezeguet (Trabzonspor)
The winger started the game and was booked on 49 minutes before being replaced 10 minutes from time as Trabzonspor started the defence of their Turkish league crown with a 2-0 win over Istanbulspor. 

Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal)
The midfielder was kept on the bench as Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. 

Saturday 6 August 

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
The winger played the whole game and scored the second goal for Liverpool to help his team to a 2-2 draw against Fulham. He is the only player to have scored in the Premier League opener for six straight seasons. 

Omar Marmoush (Wolfsburg)
The winger played his first game since ending a loan stint at Stuttgart as Wolfsburg drew 2-2 with Werder Bremen in their Bundesliga opener. He was substituted in the 67th minute. 

Sunday 7 August 

Mostafa Mohamed (Nantes)
The striker played the last 20 minutes in his side's goalless draw with Nantes
