“Before I arrived here I always thought I was the best when it came to the football, but it took me a while to develop tactically and physically,” the 23-year-old striker added in statements made to beIN Sports TV channel.

“I needed time to understand football here because the quality of both the players and the pace here is much higher than in Egypt,” Marmoush explained.

Marmoush joined the German club Wolfsburg in 2017 from Egypt's Wadi Degla.

The Egyptian international forward had loan spells at St Pauli and Stuttgart since January 2021 in order to have more playing time before returning to the Wolves this season.

“Getting the chance to participate in the Bundesliga has fulfiled my aspirations, and I am better off now.” Marmoush concluded.

This season he has made 14 appearances, so far, with Wolfsburg scoring 3 goals.

Wolfsburg currently ranks 12th in the Bundesliga table with 14 points from 12 games.
