The 24-year-old opened the scoring with ten minutes remaining before providing the second to substitute Ludovic Blas to confirm the win.

The international striker met a pinpoint cross from Ludovic Blas with a nice header to fire home in the 80th minute.

This goal is the sixth for the Egyptian international in 20 appearances on all fronts so far.

Nantes FC secured their place in the Europa league Round of 16 after finishing second in their Group G with nine points, five points behind leaders Freiburg of Germany and one point ahead of third placed Qarabag who were held to a 1-1 draw at home by the Bundesliga side.

The former Zamalek striker joined Nantes from Turkish side Galatasaray on a season-long loan in the close season.

Meanwhile, Egyptian winger Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan provided an assist to Tasos Bakasetas as Trabzonspor defeated Ferencvaros 1-0 in the final day of the Europa League group stage.

Trezeguet's effort was not sufficient to lift Trabzonspor to the next round as the Turkish side will be relegated to the Conference League after finishing third of their group with nine points.
