United Arab Emirates outfit Bani Yas have reached an agreement with Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan to join their first team during the ongoing transfer window.

"Egypt and Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan will play in the UAE professionals league next season with Bani Yas," Emirates' newspaper El-Khalige revealed.

"Zidan is one of the most talented strikers in the world and has more tricks to do with the defenders."

"His superb performance in 2010 African Cup of Nations with Egypt made him the perfect choice for the Emirates' team," the newspaper added.

The 30-year-old attacker left Bundesliga champions Dortmund in the January transfer window in search of more regular first-team football than he found when he joined Mainz on loan.

Mainz turned down the option of extending Zidan's contract until 2014 offering only to keep his services for another year, a deal the Egyptian showed little appetite for.

The Pharaohs star is now free to sign for any other club as his contract with Dortmund expired last June.

Bani Yas placed 9th in the Emirates' Professionals League table.
