French side Nantes have held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in Turin last Thursday but conceded a heavy 3-0 defeat at home to lose 4-1 on aggregate.

Nicola Pallois received his marching orders early in the game allowing World Cup winner Angel di Maria to grab a hat-trick in the 5th, 20th and 78th minute.

The Pharaohs striker Mohamed started the game on the bench and was introduced in the 73rd minute replaces Moses Simon.

In Denmark, Emam Ashour couldn’t neither rescue FC Midtjylland who were hammered 4-0 by Sporting.

The Danish heavyweights had also grabbed an away 1-1 draw last week but were also crippled by the sent off of midfielder Paulinho in the first half.

Sebastian Coates opened the scoring in the 21h minute, Pedro Conclaves netted twice in the 50th and 77th minute and Stefan Gartenmann could only make it worse with a goal in his own net in the 85th minute.

Like Mohamed, Ashour started the game on the bench and was introduced after the interval but couldn’t help his team get anything out of this game.

He was the hero in the first leg as he scored his team’s goal on his debut with the team.
