Reports emerged over the past few days claiming that Sheffield United, who have recently been promoted to the Premier League, are preparing to table a £20 million offer for Nantes to sign Mohamed.

However, bin Mosaed has denied these reports, telling Asharq in a brief statement on Thursday: "Mostafa Mohamed is not in Sheffield's plans for this transfer market."

The 25-year-old Mohamed made a big impact with Nantes last season, finishing as the team's top scorer with 11 goals and five assists. After his successful season-long loan, Nantes made his transfer permanent, signing him from Galatasaray with a deal that runs until 2027.

While Sheffield United may not be interested in signing Mohamed, other clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation. It remains to be seen whether he will remain at Nantes for the 2022-23 season or move on to a new challenge.
