Hamed, 34, had to leave the pitch shortly before halftime following a harmful clash with CS Sfaxien winger Hussein Ali.

Ali was subsequently shown a red card due to his conduct.

"Tarek Hamed underwent successful face surgery early on Monday," Ittihad Jeddah stated in a press release.

Ittihad Jeddah secured their place in the tournament, also known as the Arab Cup, after winning both of their group stage games and earning the maximum six points in Group A.

Hamed, who is known for his tough-tackling style, was a crucial member of Ittihad Jeddah's squad that won both the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Super Cup.

Since joining Ittihad Jeddah on a two-year deal last summer after his contract with Zamalek expired, Hamed has played in 30 games with the yellow jersey.
