"Unfortunately, Trezeguet has a broken rib. It is strange that even a foul is not given in a position that will cause a fracture in his rib," Bjelica told reporters after the game.
The 28-year-old was in the starting lineup before being substituted in the 51st minute due to the injury.
Trezeguet, who signed a three-year deal with Trabzonspor in July 2022 from English Premier League side Aston Villa, is expected to be out for months due to the injury.
The Egyptian star began his European journey with Belgian team RSC Anderlecht in 2015 before returning to Egypt's Ahly in 2016. He moved to Turkey's Kasimpasa in 2017 and then to Aston Villa in 2019.
He was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir in 2022 before signing with Trabzonspor.
During his time in Europe, Trezeguet has scored 61 goals and provided 43 assists in 231 matches across various teams.
He played a key role in helping Trabzonspor win the 2023 Turkish Super Cup.
