Zamalek former star Shikabala
French coach Bruno Metsu, the coach of United Arab Emirates side Al-Wasl, praised his newly-signed Egyptian forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek "Shikabala" after he performed well in the friendly against Oman outfit Al-Shabab as part of the team's preparation for the new season.
"There is no difference between Shikabala, Messi, Ronaldo and Rooney," Metsu was quoted as saying on Emirates newspaper Al-Bayan on Friday.
"Shikabala is a magician as he has a superb fitness and tricks, he can make the difference with Al-Wasl next season," he added.
The 26-year-old, Shikabala has attracted the attention of his new team Al-Wasl boss following an impressive performance in the 2-2 draw to Oman side Al-Shabab in a friendly on Thursday.
"Shikabala deserves the African best player title," the French coach said.
"He is better than Senegal star El Hadji Diouf, the player who I scouted in season 2000,"
"I demand Al-Wasl management to sign two players like Shikabala," Metsu concluded.
The former Zamalek's controversial attacker joined United Arab Emirates' side Al-Wasl on a one-year loan worth $1.25 million effective from the start of next season.
