Saudi Sports Channels (SSC) has reported that Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah will be playing his last game in the red jersey when Liverpool meets Newcastle United in the English Premier League on Sunday.

The new report comes as various Saudi media outlets continue to heighten speculations about the potential transfer of the Egyptian superstar to Saudi side Ittihad Jeddah, despite Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp's adamant dismissal of any such move.

On their official Twitter account, under the flashy headline of 'Breaking', the SSC Saudi Sports said: "Sources from the Royal Court stated that the international player Mohamed Salah will play his last game with Liverpool against Newcastle, after which he will fly to Dubai to undergo medical tests in preparation for joining Ittihad Jeddah."

The 31-year-old star has reportedly attracted great interest from Ittihad Jeddah, who are reportedly offering him a record-breaking salary, potentially making him the highest-paid player in the world.

A move to Ittihad Jeddah would see Salah play alongside former Real Madrid French star Karim Benzema who joined the Saudi side two months ago.

On Friday, during a press conference ahead of the game against Newcastle, Reds coach Klopp, who coached Salah since joining the English Premier League six years ago, dismissed reports linking Salah with a move to the Saudi League, stressing in media remarks that "Salah is not for sale."

"It's a bit different to talk about media stories, nothing to talk about from our point of view, Mo Salah is a Liverpool player," said the German tactician as he addressed all speculation on the matter.

"There's nothing there. If there would be something then the answer would be no," the Liverpool boss insisted.

The clamour for Salah comes as several Saudi clubs in Saudi continue to splash massive cash this summer to sign high-profile international players,

In recent weeks, Brazilian Roberto Firmino, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, and Senegalese Sadio Mane were signed Al-Nasr, Karim Benzema to Ittihad Jeddah, and Portuguese Ruben Neves to Al-Hilal.

Worth mentioning Salah's agent Ramy Abbas affirmed his client's commitment to Liverpool, dispelling speculations linking the Egyptian star to a surprise move to the big-spending Saudi League.

"If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn't have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC," Abbas took to Twitter to refute the story.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah, a two-time African Player of the Year, has been an integral part of the club's lineup, making a total of 307 appearances, including 220 games in the English Premier League.

He played a crucial role in Liverpool's successes, helping the team secure the UEFA Champions League title in the 2018/19 season, the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Salah has also received numerous individual awards during his time at Liverpool, including the FIFA Puskás Award in 2018, the Footballer of the Year Award in 2018 and 2022, and the English Premier League top scorer award from 2018 to 2022.

Liverpool, who finished fifth in the English Premier League last season, were hoping Salah could help them achieve better results this year.

On the other side, Ittihad Jeddah, the reigning Saudi Pro League champions, currently lead the league table with a perfect 9 points from three games played so far this season.
