The negotiations between the two clubs had fallen through last month due to a disagreement over the personal terms.

However, the talks resumed just five days before the closure of the Saudi summer transfer market.

The 34-year-old midfielder joined Ittihad Jeddah on a free transfer last summer after his contract with Zamalek had expired. He signed a two-year deal with the Saudi club.

Hamed, who was a key figure in Ittihad Jeddah's winning campaign last season, is deemed a surplus in Nuno Santo squad this season after the arrivals of central midfielders N'Golo Kante and Fabinho.

Hamed is renowned for his tough-tackling style and played a crucial role in Al-Ittihad's successful campaign last season, leading them to win both the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Super Cup titles.

The Egyptian international midfielder has made 30 appearances for Ittihad Jeddah.

In July, Hamed underwent successful facial surgery after sustaining an injury during Ittihad Jeddah's 1-0 victory over Tunisia's CS Sfaxien in the King Salman's Clubs Cup.
