The 31-year-old has been linked with Ittihad Jeddah who are reported to have had an up to 150 million pounds ($184 million) offer rejected for Salah during this summer transfer window.

"I never had any doubt about his commitment to this club. You can't imagine how much fuss the world has made but how calm we are with it," Klopp told reporters after the Villa game.

"He is our player and wants to play here," he added.

With Salah tied to Liverpool until 2025, Klopp remains adamant that the prolific goalscorer will remain a key part of his plans going forward.

"For a second he didn't look like he thought about anything other than Aston Villa. Absolutely nothing," said the German coach.

The Egyptian international found the net in Liverpool's 3-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa on Sunday, his second league goal of the season.

“He played a top game. Mo had to work super hard and he did," said the German.
