Bjelica, 52, was appointed by Trabzonspor in April on a contract that runs through the summer of 2025.

However, the Turkish side made the decision to part ways with him after a poor start to the season, after winning 4 and losing 4.

Trabzonspor's squad includes Egyptian international winger Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan, who joined from Premier League side Aston Villa in July 2022.

The team currently sit in seventh place in the Turkish league table with 12 points, 12 behind leaders Fenerbahce.

The club said they had reached a mutual agreement with Bjelica to terminate his contract and that it would announce a new head coach in the coming hours.
