Morsy, who has been called up on the preliminary list of the national team for the upcoming African Cup of Nations, hit a powerful strike that deflected twice past the despairing keeper in stoppage time, snatching a dramatic equalizer for his team.
"We've got the privilege to be here in front of 30,000 fans and an amazing team, while the plight continues in Palestine," Morsy told Sky Sports after the match.
"We are lucky; we get to play football for a living, and we're doing well; we're enjoying it, blessed, and privileged to be in this position," Morsy added.
The 32-year-old, who joined Ipswich from Middlesbrough in August 2021, has been a key player for the Tractor Boys, who are second in the table with 53 points, six points behind leaders Leicester.
Morsy has scored two goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances for Ipswich this season. He has also earned nine international caps for Egypt, making his debut in August 2016.
